German coin scale and weight box, 1800-1815. The box is 18 cm long x 9.4 cm wide x 2.5 cm high, and the steel beam is 15.3 cm long with 4.3 cm diameter brass pans. The box has 16 of 18 weights. The box label is printed: "Geaichte Goldwaage von J. C. Mittelstenscheid in Lennep". The weights are stamped with coin names and an eagle. Identified by Lavagne. Reference: Dieudonne.
