Large ornate scale and weight box of Persian origin, 19th century. The carved wooden box is 34.7 cm long x 24.2 cm wide x 7.2 cm high. The steel scales are 23.7 cm long and 14.2 cm long respectively; the brass pans are 10.8 cm and 5.7 cm in diameter, respectively. The weights are marked with 5, 3, 2, 1, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 dots, respectively. Identified by Kisch.
